Student Animation Short Accepted at International Film Festival

The School of Media, Culture and Design is pleased to announce an animated short, Hide and Shriek, from Animation’s Junior Studio II course has been accepted at the 2017 Palms Springs International Animation Festival.

Hide and Shriek is the story of a young girl’s memories and fears sparked by attending a traditional Dia de Muertos celebration. This film was a team effort by Dani Bowman, Chris Castillo, Connie Chakma, Ming Qian Huang, Andrew Hill, and Tucker Joneson. The Junior Studio class was taught by David Brain and Dori Littell-Herrick.

Screening of the animated short will be November 10 at 11:00AM followed by a panel discussion at noon.
