International Student Orientation

in addition to registering for SOAR on August 16, 2017, International students must register/attend International Orientation. International students will learn about required legal and institutional responsibilities to maintain their status. Attendance is mandatory in order to remain in good standing with United States Citizenship Immigration Services (USCIS). Optional shopping excursion to downtown Burbank and the Empire Center from 2pm-5pm.

Placement Exam Registration

Placement exams must be taken before your SOAR date. You will NOT be permitted to attend SOAR if you have not satisfied your placement exam requirement. Placement exam dates are subject to change. Your date selections are not guaranteed. For any questions contact the Office of Admissions at (818) 252-5221 or (800) 784-9663. Out-of-state students (international and domestic) have the option of attending SOAR immediately preceding the start of classes (in August) or an earlier SOAR date (see Freshmen and Transfer SOAR dates).

Accommodations: If you need accommodations for the placement exams, appropriate documentation verifying your disability must be provided to Michelle Resnick at link below no later than one week before the testing date. This documentation could be satisfied by submitting a copy of your IEP (Individualized Education Plan), doctor’s verification, notice of approved accommodation, or approval letter from College Board or ACT. You will be emailed by Michelle Resnick when you have been approved.
