Congratulations Future Owl, you’re almost ready to start with your journey with us and join the Woodbury University family!
New Student Orientation is a mandatory one-day experience for new incoming students where you’ll get to meet fellow new Owls, current student leaders, faculty and staff. During New Student Orientation, you’ll get connected with the WU community and learn about services that are here to help you succeed. You’ll also meet with your academic college advising staff to register for classes!
The New Student Orientation experience will inspire your Owl Pride and set you up for success at Woodbury University. Go Owls!
Below you will find details on two important steps that will prepare you for your first semester at Woodbury: placement exams and New Student Orientation.
Note: a SOAR fee will be included on your student account.
Math Placement Exam: students who need, or want, to take the math placement exam will receive a registration link from their Admissions Counselor. By following this registration link, you will be signing up to receive the placement exam link. We expect to be emailing the placement exam link and directions (based on who has signed up) the week of June 1st. Uncertain if you need to take the math placement exam? Check out the Mathematics Placement Guide.
If you need placement exam accommodations, appropriate documentation verifying your disability must be provided to the Office of Disabilities and Accessibility Services (ODAS). This documentation could be satisfied by submitting a copy of a current (within the last three years) Individualized Education Plan (IEP), private assessment with approved accommodations, doctor’s verification, notice of approved accommodation, or approval letter from College Board or ACT. ODAS will email you after reviewing your request. Please note additional documentation for obtaining semester accommodations may be required.
Please allow five business days for processing.
Email ODAS at: disabilities@woodbury.edu
All students are required to complete New Student Orientation. This online course prepares you for the rigorous standards ahead, shares with you the support services available from your new campus community, and tells you everything you need to do to be ready for your first semester.
