Are you interested in augmented reality but don’t know where to start? This workshop will provide you with an introduction to augmented and virtual reality, including career paths in both fields. Explore different types of AR devices and the software as an introduction to the world of augmented reality, and learn more about the Applied Computer Science – Media Arts program.
Woodbury School of Architecture will be hosting a virtual portfolio workshop. The workshop will begin with a presentation that covers general portfolio design guidelines and best practices. Following the presentation, applicants will have an opportunity to present their portfolio to a faculty member for direct feedback. We look forward to working with you on your application materials.
Woodbury School of Architecture will be hosting free virtual workshops intended to introduce the fields of Architecture and Interior Design to high school students. Taught by Woodbury faculty, the workshop explores the design of three-dimensional objects and space through hands-on exercises. Participants will gain exposure to the digital and physical processes used to generate the built environment.
Workshops will be taking place at the same time and students may only attend one. Workshop selection will be on the registration form, based on the major selected.

Explore Poetry, Prose, and Performance: Creative Writing:
Come learn how to write a hybrid prose-poem on the spot with three experienced poetry and fiction professors using your memories, family history, the landscape all around you, and your imagination, and then perform it during an open mic at the end of the workshop. (90 minutes).
My Path to Success!: Personal Statement Writing for College Application
Struggling to understand how to write a “personal statement” for a college or university application? If so, then please attend this workshop. We will define this mixed genre and review examples of good personal statements, and you’ll begin writing your own personal statement! (90 minutes).
Policing and Mental Health: Public Safety Administration
Law Enforcement learn how to interact with people who have mental illnesses in order to reduce the potential for violence during police contacts, while simultaneously assessing the mental health services that are available to assist them. (90 minutes).
Fun with Data Mining: Computer Science Data Analytics
How do they know so much about me? In this workshop, we apply hands-on data science techniques to explore relationships, make classifications and comparisons, analyze, and make predictions of real-life situations in fields such as entertainment, shopping, finance, real estate, weather forecasting, and others (90 minutes).
