This course will equip students with the relevant knowledge, perspectives, and practical skills required to develop marketing strategies to leverage the opportunities inherent in today’s global, digital marketplace including: international marketing, social media, consumer-to-consumer online interactions, internet marketing, mobile marketing, and big data. The elements of the marketing mix and the promotional mix are reviewed with emphases on the development of sound strategic planning, implementation, and control. Case studies will be used to simulate management decision-making processes in the marketing arena.

Join us for Woodbury’s School of Architecture Spring Portfolio Workshop!

This virtual workshop is for students in either of our campuses in Burbank or in San Diego.
    • 10:00 am – Dean’s Introduction
    • 10:15-11:15 am – Chose between one of the sessions:
      • SESSION 1- GRAPHICS AND LAYOUT Our instructor will go over the basics of putting together a digital portfolio. Topics include: choice of font type and size, layout (image placement, blank space, page orientation), software.
      • SESSION 2 – PORTFOLIO REVIEW Have your portfolio (finished or in-progress) reviewed by our Architecture and Interior Design faculty for valuable feedback to help improve your graphic portfolio.
    • 11:30 am-12:30 pm – PORTFOLIO REVIEW 2 (This second session is for students who participated in the GRAPHICS AND LAYOUT session.)
    • 12:30-1:00 pm – (Optional) Virtual of our Making Complex

Are you interested in augmented reality but don’t know where to start? This workshop will provide you with an introduction to augmented and virtual reality, including career paths in both fields. Explore different types of AR devices and the software as an introduction to the world of augmented reality, and learn more about the Applied Computer Science – Media Arts program.

PLEASE NOTE: You must be a junior or a senior in high school to attend these workshops.

Woodbury School of Architecture will be hosting a virtual portfolio workshop. The workshop will begin with a presentation that covers general portfolio design guidelines and best practices. Following the presentation, applicants will have an opportunity to present their portfolio to a faculty member for direct feedback. We look forward to working with you on your application materials.

This workshop is for graduate and transfer undergraduate applicants only.

Woodbury School of Architecture will be hosting free virtual workshops intended to introduce the fields of Architecture and Interior Design to high school students. Taught by Woodbury faculty, the workshop explores the design of three-dimensional objects and space through hands-on exercises. Participants will gain exposure to the digital and physical processes used to generate the built environment.

  • Architecture (materials are limited so please sign up only if you are committed to attend. The first 20 students to register will receive material mailed to their home in preparation for the workshop)
  • Interior Design

Workshops will be taking place at the same time and students may only attend one. Workshop selection will be on the registration form, based on the major selected.

Explore Poetry, Prose, and Performance: Creative Writing:

Come learn how to write a hybrid prose-poem on the spot with three experienced poetry and fiction professors using your memories, family history, the landscape all around you, and your imagination, and then perform it during an open mic at the end of the workshop. (90 minutes).

My Path to Success!: Personal Statement Writing for College Application

Struggling to understand how to write a “personal statement” for a college or university application? If so, then please attend this workshop. We will define this mixed genre and review examples of good personal statements, and you’ll begin writing your own personal statement! (90 minutes).

Policing and Mental Health: Public Safety Administration

Law Enforcement learn how to interact with people who have mental illnesses in order to reduce the potential for violence during police contacts, while simultaneously assessing the mental health services that are available to assist them. (90 minutes).

Fun with Data Mining: Computer Science Data Analytics

How do they know so much about me? In this workshop, we apply hands-on data science techniques to explore relationships, make classifications and comparisons, analyze, and make predictions of real-life situations in fields such as entertainment, shopping, finance, real estate, weather forecasting, and others (90 minutes).
