Woodbury is not only academically competitive, but the faculty and staff genuinely care about the success of their students. For that reason, I am blessed to be part of a department where I can work with individuals and make their education dreams come true. Although education requires a great amount of time commitment, in the end, it is one of the most rewarding accomplishments one can achieve.
“My goal is to provide the right support and directed guidance to allow students the ultimate Woodbury experience of individualized attention.”

Earning her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Woodbury University, Janet is able to give prospective students her representation of Woodbury University’s School of Architecture in San Diego from an alumnus’ perspective as well as from an administrators perspective.
Keeping in touch with current and alumni students and making connections in between is important and valuable in growing and nurturing our Woodbury community.
Aside from her work in the Office of Admissions, Janet has taken advantage of the opportunities that Woodbury University presents. She took a group of students on a volunteer build trip in Mexico in the Summer of 2015 and is currently working with a community garden in the neighborhood of Logan Heights with a mini grant obtained from Woodbury’s Architecture and Civic Engagement Center.
“I take pride in the personal relationships I foster with students as well as with the faculty and staff at our San Diego and Los Angeles campuses.”

I attended California State University, Northridge for both my undergraduate and graduated degree. I received a B.S in Family Consumer Sciences and a M.A in Administration in Higher Education. Prior to joining Woodbury’s admissions team. I promoted higher education as a high school advising coordinator. I would assist high school students with the transition from high school to college. Now, as a campus recruiter for Woodbury University, I plan to continue promoting higher education for both high school and transfer students.

Torrie attended a small private university, much like Woodbury, in Rhode Island, and felt that she had opportunities not available to students at large institutions that truly made her college experience unique. She was able to make personal connections with faculty, staff, and students. Torrie came to work at Woodbury knowing that students would receive the same personalized attention here that helped her succeed, something that students are only able to receive at small colleges. She hopes that you’ll experience this when you tour our campus!
