Woodbury is not only academically competitive, but the faculty and staff genuinely care about the success of their students. For that reason, I am blessed to be part of a department where I can work with individuals and make their education dreams come true. Although education requires a great amount of time commitment, in the end, it is one of the most rewarding accomplishments one can achieve.
“Since success isn’t easy, push yourself to new limits; if it was easy, everyone would be doing it and your competition would be quite high.”

Earning her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Woodbury University, Janet is able to give prospective students her representation of Woodbury University’s School of Architecture in San Diego from an alumnus’ perspective as well as from an administrators perspective.
Keeping in touch with current and alumni students and making connections in between is important and valuable in growing and nurturing our Woodbury community.
Aside from her work in the Office of Admissions, Janet has taken advantage of the opportunities that Woodbury University presents. She took a group of students on a volunteer build trip in Mexico in the Summer of 2015 and is currently working with a community garden in the neighborhood of Logan Heights with a mini grant obtained from Woodbury’s Architecture and Civic Engagement Center.

Prior to joining Woodbury’s admissions team, I promoted higher education as a high school advising coordinator, assisting high school students with the transition from high school into college. I started my journey at Woodbury as a campus recruiter, where I promoted our campus and programs to both high school and community college students locally and out of state. Currently, I am the admissions counselor for four programs in the School of Media, Culture & Design: Animation, Fashion Design, Game Art & Design, & Graphic Design.
