Woodbury Student Film Accepted to International Film Festival

Animated Short to be screened at Sony Pictures Animation event.

The School of Media, Culture and Design is excited to announce an animated short from the 2017 senior class, Gator’s Aid, will be screened at the 2017 World Animation Celebration International Short Film Festival. Gator’s Aid, the tale of a comic encounter by a hapless bird and a mother alligator was directed, designed and animated by Tyler Rogers, B.F.A., Animation Class of 2017. Congratulations Tyler!

The animation film festival is hosted by Sony Pictures Animation and showcases animated shorts from over 45 countries. The weekend will be full with animated films, industry panels, guest speakers, portfolio reviews, recruiters, schools, guest artist demos and more.

The festival will run September 30, to October 1, 2017. Doors open at 11:00 am both Saturday and Sunday.
