Woodbury Alumna, Danielle Bowman, Recognized with Beta Gamma Sigma’s 2020 Entrepreneurial Achievement Award

Danielle Bowman, Animation alumna (’18) and Founder of DaniMation Entertainment, LLC, has been named as a Beta Gamma Sigma 2020 Entrepreneurial Achievement Award winner. Nominated by Woodbury University’s Beta Gamma Sigma chapter, she received this award due to her leadership excellence.

The Beta Gamma Sigma Entrepreneurial Achievement Award (formerly called the Medallion for Entrepreneurship Award) provides national recognition to those individuals who develop, organize, and enhance successful new ventures. Recipients of this signature honor have assumed the risk of starting a business or initiating a new venture/idea within a larger organization. The intent is to focus on our entrepreneurs as the people who drive innovation, our economic engine, and support for new ideas.

DaniMation Entertainment is a cloud-based autism talent development company that produces original and contract Animation, Illustration, and Graphic Arts. Founded by Dani Bowman at age 14, the company has produced eight animated shorts premiering at San Diego Comic-Con, has illustrated 6 children’s books available on Amazon and numerous commercial work. Bowman also travels around the country, teaching animation to teens and young adults with autism at summer camps, and has worked with over a thousand neurodiverse young adults. She also has a studio in Los Angeles with a neurodiversity team.

Beta Gamma Sigma chapters are eligible to nominate individuals for the Entrepreneurial Achievement Award based on the following criteria:

  • Entrepreneurs who develop, organize, and launch a successful business venture or social entrepreneurship endeavor that has demonstrated success and proven through its operational results to be a sustainable concept
  • Exemplars for ethical business leadership and the values of the Beta Gamma Sigma Society, including honor and integrity, and the pursuit of wisdom, earnestness, and service are sought.

Established in 1913, Beta Gamma Sigma is an international honor society which operates exclusively for AACSB accredited business programs. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is highly selective, reserved for top students within the top 5% of business schools around the world. Members of Beta Gamma Sigma go on to lead—and even create—some of the largest and most successful companies around the globe. Beta Gamma Sigma has inducted more than 830,000 members worldwide since its founding in 1913. The Society is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri.
