Woodbury University’s architecture students showcase their talents at the MISBEHAVE Exhibition, one of the most anticipated events during LA Design Weekend. This exhibition highlighted the innovative spirit of young architects from Woodbury and other leading institutions across Los Angeles.
LA Design Weekend is a city-wide celebration that brings together designers, architects, and creative minds to explore the latest trends, ideas, and innovations. This annual event features a series of exhibitions, panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities. These aim to foster collaboration and inspiration within the design community. The weekend serves as a platform for emerging talents and professionals alike to contribute to the ever-evolving landscape of design in Los Angeles.
The MISBEHAVE Exhibition, a highlight of LA Design Weekend, is a dynamic showcase of architectural experimentation and boundary-pushing concepts. Curated by Ciro Dimson and Carlo Sturken of the Woodbury School of Architecture (WSOA) M.Arch Summer Studio, the exhibition brought together projects from various academic institutions, which created a vibrant dialogue. The theme of “misbehaving” challenged participants to think outside traditional architectural norms, encouraging them to explore unconventional ideas and embrace creativity in its most unfiltered form.
The MISBEHAVE Exhibition drew a remarkable crowd and successfully captured the architectural spirit of Los Angeles academia. Woodbury’s architecture students, under the guidance of professors Ciro Dimson and Carlo Sturken, played a pivotal role in this success. Their innovative projects stood out for their boldness, creativity, and deep understanding of architectural theory and practice. These students demonstrated their technical skills and their ability to think critically about the role of architecture in society.
