Join us for our 2018 Spring Lecture Series Building. All lectures and exhibitions are free and open to the public.
Recognizing the act of building as the core to architecture, this series investigates the current status of construction from various aspects; material innovation, fabrication technology, structural engineering, and communication. Building starts as an idea, and it has always been a collaborative endeavor to move the idea from the realm of the unknown to the known, from abstract to concrete. Exploring the diversity and depth of expertise involved in the process, the series examines whether architects should position themselves as master builder or expert coordinator.
