Michael Cusumano Kicks Off School of Business Executive in Residence Program

For the third year in a row, the Advisory Board of the School of Business has engaged in a rotating Executive in Residence program, which provides students the opportunity to gain from the vast knowledge and experience that the members of the board can give to them.

Board members — each representing a variety of different industries — meet weekly with students in one-on-one sessions to provide feedback and guidance based on career-related questions. This semester’s program  kicked off on September 4 with Michael Cusumano, Vice-President of the Cusumano Real Estate Group, headquartered in Burbank.

Students from both within and outside of the School of Business scheduled appointments to meet with this influential business executive, who spent several hours listening and providing guidance.

The program continues on September 10,  with Neil Sherman, owner of Industrial Metal Supply, a 70 year old family-run metal distribution company that his headquarted in Sun Valley, California and has six locations throughout Arizona and Southern California.

Other executives this semester include:

  • Paula Bahamon, Vice President – Business Banker at Mission Valley Bank in Sun Valley
  • Shawn Morey, Realtor, managing partner at NutriShop, and owner, Paid to Play Media Group
  • Wayne Ward, Senior Vice President at California Bank & Trust
  •  Jane Skeeter, CEO and Founder of UltraGlas, Inc.
  • Gerard Mekhsian, CPA and Director, Hutchinson and Bloodgood LLP
  • Rebecca Lienhard, CEO at the Tierra del Sol Foundation
  • Noam Lotan, investor and mentor to several privately held technology companies
  • Ahdee Abramson, Founder and President of Pet Ventures, and
  • Nick Mitchel, Vice President, Legal Affairs and Corporate Counsel at Logix Federal Credit Union.
