Heather Flood appointed Interim Dean of Woodbury School of Architecture

 

Woodbury University is pleased to welcome Heather Flood into the position of Interim Dean of the School of Architecture. After receiving nominations and an election held by the faculty and staff in the School of Architecture, Heather was chosen to lead the SOA as Interim Dean. This appointment follows the leave of Ingalill Wahlroos-Ritter, FAIA as Dean of the School of Architecture.

Heather began teaching at Woodbury in 2015 and, in 2017, was appointed Undergraduate Chair of the School of Architecture in Los Angeles. In 2018, she moved on to chair both the undergraduate and graduate programs before being promoted to full professor in 2020. Heather has presented at numerous conferences and authored several publications. Additionally, Heather serves on the board and is an editor for the Journal of Architecture Education. As a professional and instructional leader, Heather will continue to move the School of Architecture forward.

Before Woodbury, Heather taught design studios and visual studies seminars at SCI-Arc, as well as UCLA. She holds a Master of Architecture degree from the Southern California Institute of Architecture, where she graduated with honors and received the Henry Adams Medal, and a Bachelor of Art degree from Michigan State University.

Heather’s appointment as Interim Dean is effective immediately.
