Campus Closure

Dear Woodbury Community:

As of now, entry to our campuses is closed. The only community members allowed to enter campus are those staff members deemed essential and students that have been permitted to continue to live in the residence halls. Our maintenance department is working to clean and sanitize all buildings. After each building is cleaned and sanitized, we have closed access and locked all doors. New data has suggested that COVID-19 is stable for hours on surfaces. By shutting down access to buildings that are cleaned, we are also ensuring that any bacteria or virus left behind will provide ample time for them to deteriorate and no longer pose an opportunity for spread. Please note that at this time, Woodbury University has no known COVID-19 infections among community members and has no reason to believe it has spread onto campus.

Operations on Burbank Campus

Mail Services

We realize that although the majority of community members are working remotely, the mailing and packing operations across the country continue to operate. To assist students, staff and faculty members in obtaining their mail, all packages and letters will be forwarded to community member’s home addresses. For mail addressed to departments, all items will be placed into bins, and department members will be contacted and provided directions for pickup. You may contact Helen Hung at [email protected] for any questions regarding campus mail.

Computers

The University is aware that some community members may not have access to computers at their place of residence. We have been in contact with community members who have shared their concerns and have provided laptops for use. If you are a community member who has not reached out to obtain a computer for home use, please send an email to [email protected] and our IT staff will arrange to provide necessary equipment. Please refer to the guidelines provided on Preparing to Telecommute document released on March 16th.

Campus Resources

Although our campuses are not open, the majority of our services and resources are still available. Our school nurse Audrey Herriford remains available for any health-related correspondence. Specifically, if you believe you are showing symptoms of the COVID-19 virus, you can fill out COVID-19 Inquiry, which notifies Audrey of your concern. Please see below for information on how to contact our school nurse. Please note, all inquiries are kept confidential.
