School of Architecture Hosts Community College Conversations

Woodbury School of Architecture recently hosted Community College Conversations on the campus in Burbank. Every year dozens of transfer students enroll in the undergraduate architecture and undergraduate interior architecture programs at Woodbury. These students inject enthusiasm, work ethic, and talent into the programs that inflects positively on the culture of the school. Community College Conversations aims to support the mission of community colleges by providing a forum for discussing common challenges and best practices amongst professional peers.

Community College Conversations

Faculty and administrators from twenty-five colleges were invited to this event. The afternoon was organized around topic sessions that address architectural education at the community college level. Faculty from Cuesta College, Southwestern College, Orange Coast College, Glendale Community College, and The Los Angeles Institute of Architecture and Design (LAIAD) all made presentations and participated in panel discussions.

Moving forward, Community College Conversations will become an annual gathering of educators who are committed to developing pathways towards a professional degree in architecture for a broad spectrum of students.
