Assistant Professor of Writing and ePortfolio Coordinator
College of Liberal Arts
Matt’s research and teaching interests are currently in digital writing technologies, rhetorical history and theory, professional and technical writing, and writing program administration. His most recent work can be seen in Computers and Composition, Communication Design Quarterly, and an edited collection by Utah State University Press. He’s also presented papers and facilitated workshops at national conferences.
Observant students and staff of Woodbury can sometimes see him briskly walking from his office in the Whitten Student Center to teach courses in professional and technical writing and first-year writing. And if you ever need to find him, he is often hunkered down in his office, Whitten 126, either guiding the Writing Department as Co-Chair or helping students archive and reflect on curricular and co-curricular activities in his position as ePortfolio Coordinator.
In his free time, Matt enjoys working out, reading, and attending live theater.
