Associate Professor
Brett’s research interests include auditing, financial reporting, and accounting education issues. Dr. Kawada’s work has been published in the Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Managerial Auditing Journal, Journal of Accounting Education, and Review of Accounting and Finance. Prior to joining the School of Business at Woodbury University, he taught auditing, financial accounting, and managerial accounting courses at San Diego State University and the University of Texas at El Paso.
A native of Hawaii, he spent 8 years as a CPA (Hawaii – inactive) and auditor with the Honolulu office of KPMG LLP before pursuing a career in academia.
