Welcome Back Message from Vice President, Randy Stauffer

Dear Students,

On August 24, we will begin our fall 2020 term. Woodbury is pleased to welcome both returning and new students to the new semester. While it’s been a challenging summer, we are prepared to help you succeed in your academic and professional goals. This has always been a major focus of the University, and this year is no different. We are ready and excited to start the new semester with new safety protocols in place.

Campus Visits:

Last month, we communicated that each student would have access to their campus (Burbank or San Diego) three days a week, should the decide to use it. By now you should have received an email from your School or College that included your assigned days on campus. As a reminder, during your assigned days, you will have access to the library, computer labs, the Making Complex, design studios, and film facilities through a reservation system, and also have access to in-person consultation with services. To find out about access to campus please visit our FAQ page here. To reserve a space on campus please see the Campus Space Scheduling site.

Course Delivery (online, hybrid, in-person):

Throughout the summer your professors have been preparing to deliver course work in many different formats. Woodbury professors are known for their innovative teaching forms and this year they will add to their selection. In the days ahead, you will receive a welcome notification from your professor regarding your upcoming coursework through your Woodbury.edu email account, through the Moodle course page, or both.  To find out what format your courses will take, please visit here.

COVID-19 Training for Students

Los Angeles Public Health requires students to complete a training module prior to returning to campus. A training module was previously made available to faculty and staff to help guide them in their efforts to create a safe and healthy campus community. A separate email will be sent out for this training module. Please look out for an email from [email protected].

Contacts for questions:

If you have questions about your coursework, please contact your course faculty member or Raida Gatten. If you have any questions regarding your assigned campus days, please contact your school or college administrative coordinators:

Continue to stay safe and healthy,

Randy Stauffer
