Rossen Ventzislavov received his philosophy PhD in 2011 from The Graduate Center at The City University of New York and has been teaching at Woodbury University since 2012. Originally from Bulgaria, he lived in Brooklyn, New York, for thirteen years. While pursuing his doctoral degree he taught at The City College of New York and The Fashion Institute of Technology. His primary research interests are in aesthetics, art criticism, and the history of philosophy. He has published and presented work on architecture, popular music, curating, urbanism etc. He regularly teaches the core Ethical Systems class along with many upper division electives such as Philosophy of Architecture, Celebrity, The Body Beautiful, Philosophy of History etc.
