Dr. Rossen Ventzislavov Guest Edits Special Issue of Aesthetic Investigations

Philosophy Professor Rossen Ventzislavov spent the better part of last year guest editing a special issue of the Dutch journal Aesthetic Investigations, the official journal of the Dutch Association of Aesthetics, together with fellow philosopher Sue Spaid.

The special topic was “Isn’t All Art Performed?” and the issue attracted high-caliber submissions of innovative work on issues of architecture, stand-up comedy, art modeling, and other aesthetic expressions.

Professor Ventzislavov himself contributed an introductory article as well as a long-form philosophical review of a recent performance by groundbreaking Los Angeles artist Ron Athey. The issue launched on the last day of 2021 and is accessible for free here.
