“Activating the Right Hemisphere in Business Minds” is the title of a practice-based thought leadership article that Drs. Joan Marques, Satinder Dhiman, Svetlana Holt, and Adam Wood recently published in Development and Learning in Organizations (DLO) following a peer-review process.
The purpose of this article is to improve awareness about the importance of mindfulness practices in business education and performance toward greater societal appreciation and compassion.
DLO is an Emerald Journal directed towards practitioners and academics in private, public, and not-for-profit sectors.
Fashion Marketing coordinator Professor Wendy Bendoni is presenting consumer pop-culture trends at the WWD MAGIC trade show for the 11th year in February 2023.
With a presentation titled “Trend Science: Insight from Popular Culture & Buying Behavior”, Wendy will take a closer look at the fashion-on-demand generation through the narrative voice of influencers, data science, and social confirmation. She will discuss how trends can grow and expand a business. She also plans to share successful data tools that enable the industry to embrace social confirmation of trends and consumers’ interests.
Along with student teams from two MBA and two upper division BBA classes focusing in Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Strategic Consulting, Dr. Paul Sabolic has embarked on a collaboration with the Burbank Chamber of Commerce.
The teams will investigate and subsequently present some innovative opportunities to assist the Chamber in its groundbreaking and constructive work for the local business community. Burbank Chamber of Commerce CEO Jamie Keyser and Chairman of the Board Steve Mora are very excited about the plans for this multi-dimensional project.
As the semester progresses, more will be shared about the findings to be presented by the student teams.
