Risa Williams will discuss how to fine tune your creative and business pitches using
the six rules of pitching. You will also be giving hands-on experience in presenting yourself
for interviews with a focus on improving body language and speech patterns. After this brief but informative talk,
you will learn tricks to decrease anxiety and boost your confidence before your next important meeting!
Risa Williams teaches Public Speaking, Art of the Pitch, TV Writing, Screenwriting and Contemporary Journalism
at Woodbury. She has an MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU and an MAP in Clinical Psychology.
As a performer, she has performed off-Broadway and trained with the New York City Ballet.
Her plays have been performed at The Kennedy Center, and her book,
Cinescopes: What Your Favorite Movies Reveal About You (Quirk 2007) was featured
on The Early Show and in Women’s Magazine.
She also works as a therapist and performance coach, specializing in treating stage fright and anxiety.
