Ed Ogosta Receives Two AIA Design Awards for Corner Pocket House

Faculty member Ed Ogosta, AIA, principal of Edward Ogosta Architecture, has received two AIA Design Awards in less than a week for his Corner Pocket House project in Manhattan Beach.

The first award was announced at the AIA Long Beach | South Bay design awards gala on October 26th. Ogosta’s project was the only one out of all 42 entries to receive an Honor award, the AIA’s top-level design accolade.

The second award came from the AIA Los Angeles at the Citation level, and was announced at the AIA|LA awards ceremony on October 30th in front of some 600 attendees.

The project is thus a winner in both the AIA chapter where Ogosta’s office is located and the chapter where the project is located, a significant achievement. In seven years of practice, Ogosta’s firm has now earned a total of eight design awards from all local, state, and national chapters of the American Institute of Architects.
