Dear campus community,
We are excited to announce that Woodbury has teamed up with Providence Saint Joseph to host a drive-thru COVID vaccination event on Saturday, July 24, 2021, from 10 am-1 pm on our Burbank campus. The first of two Pfizer shots will be available on July 24th with the second dose available on campus two weeks later.
This event will be made available to those in the Burbank area and surrounding areas as well as all Woodbury students, faculty, and staff.
We highly encourage Woodbury community members to email our campus nurse [email protected] and provide your first and last name, date of birth, and phone number ahead of time. This information will be confidential and only used for Providence to create an appointment for you via MyTurn.Ca.Gov. By sending your information ahead of time your check-in process on the day of your appointment will be expedited.
With Woodbury’s plan to require the COVID-19 vaccine once fully approved by the FDA, it is highly recommended that our community members take advantage of this event. The vaccine drive-thru can be accessed by entering campus through the Cabrini Gate, located off Cabrini on our northwest entrance. The event will also accommodate walk-ups.
We’ve all seen how immunization has played an instrumental role in opening our state, yet, the largest group of those still unvaccinated are those 18-29. This is concerning as this group makes up a considerable amount of our campus community.
These concerns are understandable. As such, we would like to provide factual and accurate information about the COVID-19 vaccines below.
Also of concern is how the Delta variant now accounting for more than 51% of new COVID-19 cases across the country. Some are asking if restrictions may be on the horizon here in California, but California Governor Gavin Newsom says it depends on vaccinations.
We hope that those unvaccinated take advantage of this pop-up event and help put the COVID-19 pandemic behind us.
As always if you have any questions, please email [email protected]
