Andrew holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan and a Master of Architecture from Harvard University. Zago teaches at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI- Arc) in Los Angeles, and is a Clinical Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a frequent visiting critic and lecturer at schools in the US, Europe, and Asia. Under Zago’s direction, the firm has received numerous recognitions and awards including the Progressive Architecture Award, the Emerging Voice award from the Architectural League of New York, and an Award in Architecture from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Zago is also a fellow of the American Academy in Rome. a recipient of a United States Artists Award, and a member of the National Register of Peer Professionals of the General Services Administration in Washington.
