Matthew Gillis is a partner at the architecture firm GRANT GILLIS and the founder of G!LL!S, a design venture invested in architectural research in the form of both speculative and built projects. Matthew’s work has been exhibited internationally in the Goethe Institute Guadalajara, Mexico and in various locations in the United States, including Cincinnati (ACADIA Conference 2015), Miami (A+A3 / Miami Dade College), and Los Angeles (Architecture + Design Museum, Materials and Applications/ M&A, and MAK Center for Art and Architecture).
Matthew has participated in the critical discourse of Los Angeles urbanity and architecture as a board member and publication’s editor for the Los Angeles Forum for Architecture and Design. He has interest in reconsidering interiors discourse by co-coordinating the Unmentionables Symposium 2017.
