Writing Faculty's Book Wins National Prize

Congratulations are due to Linda Dove, adjunct faculty in the Writing Department. This past fall her poetry manuscript won the 2016 Clockwise Chapbook Award from Tebot Bach Press. This series of connected poems, called This Too, was inspired by St. Nicholas of Tolentino, the patron saint of vegetarians and lost souls. The collection’s (mostly) prose poems are written in his voice and use bits and pieces of his life and suggested miracles, but they mostly serve as a vehicle for her own preoccupations and observations. This is Professor Dove’s third published collection of poetry, released April 2017.
