Shweta Joshi Wins Two Architecture Student Awards

Shweta Joshi Wins NEWH Los Angeles Hospitality Scholarship Award

The Hospitality Industry Network (NEWH) Los Angeles chapter selected Woodbury School of Architecture graduate MArch student Shweta Joshi to receive one of their 2015 Hospitality Scholarship Awards. The US $2,000 scholarship award is to help defray the cost of tuition, books, and supplies.

Joshi received her award at the NEWH Los Angeles Gala in December in Downtown Los Angeles.

Leading the business in networking, NEWH programs and events offer a place to build relationships throughout the hospitality world. NEWH members boast executive leadership positions in all walks of the industry including management companies, ownership, interior designers, manufacturers, and hospitality educators. Many members support educational institutions through mentoring students and donating thousands of dollars each year in scholarship awards to deserving students.

Shweta Joshi’s Drawing Chosen For The Honor Highly Commended in Aarhus School of Architecture Drawing of the Year 2015

The winners of the international student competition Drawing of the Year 2015 were revealed on December 11, 2015, at Aarhus School of Architecture. This year’s theme was Sustainability Through Architecture. 120 students from 45 nations participated in the competition.

Shweta Joshi’s drawing was one of 8 drawings chosen for the honor Highly Commended out of all submissions. The international jury [Philippe Madec, France * Veronika Valk, Estonia * Kasper Heiberg Frandsen, Denmark * Torben Nielsen, Denmark] reviewed all the submitted drawings without knowing their origin.
