School of Business Advisory Board Chair Jane Skeeter named Fernando Award Recipient 2022

On September 9, Jane Skeeter, Chair of Woodbury University School of BusinessAdvisory Board, was named the 2022 recipient of the Fernando Award. The Fernando Award is considered the highest recognition for community volunteerism bestowed upon an individual in the greater San Fernando Valley region. This prestigious event, attended by a large crowd of prominent guests, was held in the Skirball Center.  

Of the 16 initial nominees, five finalists were announced at an earlier reception in June. Each of the finalists represented an impressive track record of passionate and selfless volunteerism in the San Fernando Valley. 

Jane Skeeter, who is the founder and chief executive of UltraGlas, has been active since 2007 with 15 organizations serving on the board of directors of business, health, youth and education-related services. Aside from a highly regarded consultant, popular lecturer, community activist, and Chair of the Advisory Board of Woodbury University School of Business, Jane also serves on the boards of The Valley Economic Alliance, VICA, The Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley, Pierce Community College Architecture and Engineering Advisory Board,  and has served on the boards of The Valley Group, Val*Pac, NAWBO-LA Foundation, Promerica Bank Advisory Board, Valley Green Team, and as a Trustee of West Hills Hospital, among others.  

The Fernando Award Foundation is a community organization, founded in 1958.
