MArch Alumnus Featured on Archinect's Top Ten

Woodbury University Master of Architecture Alumnus Hooman Kia was recently featured on Archinect’s Ten Top Images as part of their “Student Work” Pinterest Board.

Hooman graduated with a Master of Architecture from Woodbury University in May 2016. He joined the Spatial Affairs Bureau in Los Angeles while working on his thesis. The featured project, Bunker Hill Lobby, was developed with his thesis advisor Jason Rebillot, Assistant Chair and Associate Professor. The project explores a reconciliatory approach by conceiving the space between the cultural and civic buildings as an open air ‘city lobby’ that unites the buildings while allowing complexities of past and current Los Angeles to interrogate the existing over-simplified and soulless urban condition.

The Master of Architecture graduate program at Woodbury embodies a fresh approach to architecture and global urban conditions. Our innovative and accredited program trains students to engage in the architectural discourse of the city, making clear-eyed connections between their work, new technologies in both representation and realization, and built and natural environments.
