Fall 2020 Course Delivery and Campus Access

Dear Students,

With the Fourth of July weekend ahead of us, I’d like to wish everyone a happy and safe Independence Day. We realize this year’s observation is a unique one with celebrations being subdued due to COVID-19, but it’s still a good time to reflect on the many opportunities afforded us to make change for the better in our communities.

As we move forward with planning for the fall 2020 semester, we would like to underscore our guiding principle of ensuring the safety of the Woodbury community, while maintaining the highest quality student experience possible. With that, we would like to share some additional information:

  • Courses: We are delivering fall 2020 courses in a hybrid manner, meaning a blend of online and specific in-person experiences, such as labs and practical exercises. The University has published a Course Delivery Information Document that lists all of the fall 2020 courses indicating how much time each course will be spent online and how much time each course will be spent in-person.
  • On Campus Access: Each student will have access to the Burbank and San Diego campuses three days a week. The days assigned to each student will align with their course schedule as much as possible. We hope to have the schedule of assigned days by August 1, or soon after.
  • Facilities Access: To ensure social distancing practices, students will be asked to schedule an appointment through a reservation system to access the library, computer labs, the Making Complex, design studios, and film facilities on their on campus access days. We will provide access to the reservation system by August 1, or soon after.
  • Fall 2020 Parking Fees: Woodbury recognizes that our student presence on campus is greatly reduced. As students will access campus less frequently, the parking fees are reduced 50%. Students will pay $75.00 to obtain a parking pass for the fall 2020 term.

Please be sure to visit our Student FAQ page for additional information or fill out the question form if you have questions regarding the fall 2020 term.
