Applied Computer Science Student Awarded GHC 2017 Scholarship

Student, Elida Rangel, will attend the Grace Hopper, Celebration of Women in Computing Conference

ACS Student Elida Rangel has received a Scholarship to attend the Grace Hopper, Celebration of Women in Computing, Conference.

The Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing is the world’s largest gathering of women technologists. It is produced by the Anita Borg Institute and presented in partnership with ACM. GHC 17 will be Oct. 4-6 in Orlando, FL.

Every year, women technologists and the best minds in computing convene to highlight the contributions of women to computing. The conference results in collaborative proposals, networking and mentoring for our attendees. Conference presenters are leaders in their respective fields, representing industry, academia and government. The conference also offers professional development through a variety of activities.
