In September, the School of Business’s Accounting program, in close collaboration with the university’s Career Services, organized its annual “Meet the Firms” event. About two dozen business students and alumni participated in the event. The panel of firms consisted of representatives from Ernst & Young, Green Hasson Janks, Kirsch Kohn & Bridge, and RSMUS. Accounting chair, Jeff Neumeister moderated the discussions, and Career Services specialist, Jeff Franco, who was instrumental in organizing the event, kept close track of attendees and logistics. Accounting faculty member, Dr. Alice Shiotsugu, was also present and provided informal guidance to students based on her rich experience with the IRS.
Thanks to this masterful piece of teamwork, the participants were provided a memorable and enriching experience to assist them on their path to a successful accounting career.
