Woodbury Faculty Short Film Accepted to International Film Festival

Animated Short to be screened at Sony Pictures Animation event.

Animation faculty, Jim Richardson has had his short film, Watchcat accepted for screening at the Sony Pictures Animation event, World Animation Celebration International Short Film Festival. Richardson, who teaches freshman and sophomore studios, and storyboarding in the Animation program, created this intriguing tale of a neighborhood cat who fights crime, in collaboration with Gregory Bradley. Who is that cat protecting your neighborhood? That’s no ordinary cat, that’s Watchcat!

The film festival is hosted by Sony Pictures Animation and showcases animated shorts from over 45 countries. The weekend will be full with animated films, industry panels, guest speakers, portfolio reviews, recruiters, schools, guest artist demos and more.

The festival will run from September 30, to October 1, 2017 at Sony Pictures Animation, located at 9050 W. Washington Blvd. Culver City, CaliforniaDoors open at 11:00 am both Saturday and Sunday.
