The 2018 Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society Induction Ceremony

The 2017-2018 Beta Gamma Sigma Business School Honor Society Annual Ceremony was well attended with members and their guests, filling the Saffell Board Room to capacity on the evening of Friday, April 20. Dinner was served followed by the induction ceremony presided over by Chapter President Adam Wood and Chapter Secretary David Cho. Professor Satinder Dhiman was this year’s invited guest speaker. In addition, Professors Svetlana Holt and Wendy Bendoni contributed as well.

For the 2017-2018 academic year, 28 students were invited for Beta Gamma Sigma membership, of which 18 accepted. Membership in the International Honor Society Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student can receive worldwide at an undergraduate or graduate program accredited by AACSB International. Undergraduate business students ranking in the top 10 percent of their respective class are eligible to join the Society as early as the last term of their second year of study. Graduate students ranking in the top 20 percent of their class may join the Society after completing one year of study. With membership, students receive a certificate and are recognized at the annual Woodbury Induction Ceremony. Joining also entitles members to wear the gold cord, Beta Gamma Sigma’s symbol of scholastic achievement worn at graduation.
