Dear Campus Community,
Southern California is currently under a red flag warning with a dangerous Santa Ana wind event whipping across mountain tops and through narrow valleys at speeds of up to 85mph.
Unfortunately this morning the Bond Fire in Santiago Canyon, in Orange County, had spread to more than 3,500 acres. As of now, mandatory evacuation orders for Foothill Ranch and Portola hills West of El Toro and North of 241 Toll Road are in affect. Remaining Portola Hills is under voluntary evacuation warning. For updates, please click here.
Please note that Woodbury University is not threatened or affected by the Bond Fire. However, winds will continue to blow throughout the south land this week. As such, Woodbury security administrators will continue to monitor all events.
If you live close to or are affected by this fire, please email [email protected] to obtain resources.
