Since its launch in 2008, BizFed, a not-for-profit organization, serves over 130 business organizations representing a diverse cross-section of well over 268,000 businesses across Los Angeles County.
Mrs. Hernandez has extensive experience in the media industry serving in various chief executive roles, including as the first female publisher in the nearly 100-year history of the Los Angeles Daily News, over 10 years with the Journal Register Company of Trenton, N.J., and owner and operator of a group of newspapers in Walla Walla, Wash.
Mrs. Hernandez is principal of her own next-level media company IMPOWER, LLC, and business advisory, Rafter Group, Inc. Currently on board of directors of LA’s Best After School Program, Junior Achievement, Economic Alliance, and the Fernando Awards. Extensive community and civic involvement. 2005 awarded Business Woman of The Year by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal. She currently serves on the advisory board of Woodbury University School of Business.
