Go on a View Finder photo scavenger hunt with Urban rock
Travel through history with the artist duo Jeanine Centuori and Russell Rock of URBANROCK, creators of View Finder. Engage in this interactive installation piece in the Art Walk by participating in a photo scavenger hunt that will take you throughout the park to discover the history of Great Park Neighborhoods.

Participate in a live mural painting with local artist Nate Frizzell
Visit with the artist and participate in a collaborative mural workshop with local Los Angeles based muralist, Nate Frizzell. Nate’s murals can be seen in the pool areas of Cadence Park and Beacon Park.

Help build a collaborative origami sculpture
Inspired by Nate Frizzell’s murals, Dog and Pony’s origami crane sculptures, and Kristen Farr’s rotating wheels all here at Cadence Park, get creative with local teaching artist, Tomi Okuno. Her origami-inspired sculptures bring the origami imagery through the park to life. You can contribute to these sculptures by getting hands-on with decorative paper mache origami paper materials.

Student Community Exhibition with Portola High School
Experience the local emerging artists in our own community from Portola High School through their community exhibition of AP Studio Arts students. The exhibition is located next to the sculpture created by LeBasse Projects, inspired by the top student designs of Portola High School’s ceramics class. Led by teacher, Kearci Moir.

Create your own t-shirt printing workshop with Sage Vaughn and Self Help Graphics
Self Help Graphics – Barrio Mobile Art Studio is leading a screen-printing workshop using designs created by Sage Vaughn’s work featured in the Cadence Park Art Walk. Come meet with the artist and create t-shirts inspired by their work.
