AllBlackForm is organizing three international workshops of Advanced Architectural Design using the latest digital technologies.
The ABF Summer Workshops 2017 are led by Professor Erick Carcamo (SCI_Arc, UPenn) and Bailey Shugart (Woodbury University) both Alumni Master Graduates of Columbia University in New York City and The Southern California Institute of Architecture, respectively. Their teaching expertise extends from SCI_Arc, Columbia University GSAPP, Yale SOA, UPenn, Pratt Institute, University of Kentucky, Woodbury University, Die Angewandte, to LTH in Sweden. The workshop in Los Angeles will be hosted at Woodbury University, School of Architecture-LA Campus, in the city of Los Angeles, California. The workshops are open to the public, with past participants coming from backgrounds in architecture, animation, fashion, interiors, and more.
22 MAY – 02 JUNE 2017

All Selected Participants will attend the computational design workshop, academic lectures, final reviews and exhibition of the final work. Daily meetings will take place from 10am to 6pm.
Workshops introduce participants into contemporary dialogues of formal exploration in Architecture and the multi-cross disciplinary discussions associated with Design, including fashion, art and technology.
The workshop aims to develop and investigate the notion of geometrical performance as the ultimate means to create Architecture through the use of computational tools (MAYA). Through technical attainment of design and digital production, the Workshops give the opportunity to students of Architecture, Professional Architects, Designers and Artists to challenge new design territories and its current discourse. The focus will be on technique elaboration, digital material intelligence, system logic efficiencies and precision assemblies as an ultimate condition of design.
