Dean Ingalill Wahlroos-Ritter Selected to Serve on Three Awards Programs

Woodbury School of Architecture Dean Ingalill Wahlroos-Ritter has been selected to serve as a Juror and Announcer on three design award programs in California. She was a Juror for the 2018 AIA California Council Academy for Emerging Professionals (AEP) Awards and will also be a juror for the Southern California Development Forum annual Design Awards. In addition, she’s been selected to announce the 2017 Next LA Awards with USC Dean Milton S.F. Curry, at the AIA | LA Design Awards.

Jury Meetings

To advance local and regional excellence, the AIACC Academy for Emerging Professionals (AEP) developed an awards program to recognize and celebrate those who contribute to assisting Emerging Professionals and their colleagues in pursuing their personal and professional goals. These individuals embody the importance of Emerging Professional AIA members and their contribution to the current environment and future of architecture. Additionally, these individuals are an excellent source of information and inspiration for components elsewhere, looking for new ideas and programming for their Emerging Professional members. Ingalill was the recipient of the 2016 AIA CC Educator Award.

SCDF jurors include: Michael Rotondi, FAIA; Antonio Pacheco (West Coast Editor of Architect’s Newspaper); and Haroot Avanesian (Architectural Associate, City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs).

The annual Southern California Development Forum Design Awards recognize the contributions and commitment to the business environment and the communities of Southern California.  The design awards celebrate built and un-built projects that demonstrate innovation and commitment from both:  owners and design teams.  Award winners will be celebrated at the SCDF Design Awards ceremony at the December meeting. The forum is comprised of developers, architects, engineers, planners and other land-use parties, it’s an excellent opportunity to showcase your projects to the business community of Southern California.
