BAND earns Honorable Mention in Young Architect's Competition

Woodbury students and members of BAND, an independent design collaborative, recently earned an honorable mention in YAC’s Experiential Beer Garden Competition.

Young Architect’s Competitions proposed a brief that asked designers to reimagine a mid 16th-century villa as the home for Villa Zarri – one of the leading Italian breweries. Located in the heart of Emilian countryside, this centre would act as an observatory, helping visitors understand the intercultural significance of beer. BAND’s entry, titled Destination Factory, was formed around a circulation path that connects the building, street and gardens together. Project team members included: Dieu Hoang, Maria Petrova, Vishnu Medapati, Vana Boghozian, Nathan Fisher, and Breeanna Garcia. BAND is an independent collaborative established to push the boundaries of design and creation of spaces. Made up of a group of diverse thinkers, the team’s goals are to explore, research and experiment in an effort to have an open-minded outlook on traditional problem-solving.
