Respected architect, interior designer, and Woodbury School of Architecture professor Annie Chu, FAIA, IIDA, received her AIA|LA 2016 Educator Award at the Design Awards Ceremony and Reception on Monday, October 24, 2016.
Professor Chu is among the 2016 Presidential Honorees that the Los Angeles chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) recognizes for their excellence in design and their passion, talent, and dedication in making an undeniable contribution to Los Angeles.
“This year’s recipients share a deep passion for architecture and dedication to the profession. The impact of their contributions extend well beyond the people and projects they have directly influenced,” said AIA|LA President Debra Gerod, FAIA. “I am honored to recognize those that have advanced our profession and enriched our community.”

Presidential Honorees were bestowed in conjunction with the chapter’s annual design awards. The 2016 event to honor awardees took place at the newly refurbished Palace Theatre.
