Woodbury is accredited by six national and regional organizations. National accreditation is a critical indicator of a university’s quality.

WSCUC
Senior College and University Commission (formerly WASC)

The university is regionally accredited by the Senior Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. WASC granted Woodbury its original accreditation in 1961.

AACSB
Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business

The School of Business BBA and MBA received its accreditation in 2014.

ACBSP
Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs

The School of Business BBA and MBA received its accreditation in 1998.

CIDA
Council for Interior Design Accreditation

The Interior Design BFA program received its accreditation in 1991.

NAAB
National Architectural Accrediting Board

The School of Architecture received accreditation for the Bachelor of Architecture program in 1994. The Master of Architecture program received its accreditation in the Spring of 2012.

NASAD
National Association of Schools of Art and Design

The university received accreditation for BFA programs in Animation, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, and Interior Design in 2008. The Filmmaking and Game Art & Design programs received accreditation in 2014. The Master of Interior Design is accredited.

Colleges of Distinction – 2020-2021

Woodbury University has been recognized as a 2020-2021College of Distinction for the sixth consecutive year by demonstrating continued dedication to high-impact educational practices.  

According to Colleges of Distinction, Woodbury has created a truly unique learning environment where students not only earn college credit and valuable life experience, but also participate in character-building interdisciplinary programs, capstone projects and internships.

Colleges of Distinction Business Badge  – 2020-2021

Woodbury University’s undergraduate Bachelor of Business Administration program has been recognized by Colleges of Distinction for its innovative approach to education by blending the liberal arts with professional programming.

The Colleges of Distinction ‘Field of Study’ business badge for 2020-2021 was granted after a comprehensive vetting process that selected schools based on such qualities as accreditation, breadth of program, and track record of success.  Students across the country have long turned to Colleges of Distinction as a one-of-a-kind resource to find their “best-fit” school.  Colleges of Distinction uniquely evaluates schools based on their ability to provide a high-quality student experience as well as a thorough liberal arts education.

The Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design

AICAD is a non-profit consortium of the leading specialized arts and design schools in the US and Canada. Founded in 1991, AICAD institutions educate more than 50,000 undergraduate and graduate studets each year from all 50 US states and more than 60 countries. Over 70% of these students receive financial aid to support their education.

 

ACSA

Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture

The mission of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture is to lead architectural education and research. Member schools include all of the accredited professional degree programs in the United States and Canada. Together ACSA schools represent some 7,000 faculty educating more than 40,000 students.
