New Student Orientation – Undergraduate Students

Congratulations Future Owl, you’re almost ready to start with your journey with us and join the Woodbury University family!

Fun fact: Did you know that a group of Owls is commonly called a Parliament?

WUSO is what we call the Woodbury University Student Orientation experience. It’s not just one day….it’s an experience, it’s a vibe. WUSO is comprised of four parts:

  1. Placement Exam: Some programs require a math placement exam. Uncertain if you need to take one? Check out the Mathematics Placement Guide
If your program does require one, you will receive a link from your admissions counselor.
  2. “Owl Onboarding:” is what we like to call our online orientation module. This is a short overview of all the campus resources available to you. It takes around 30-45 minutes to complete.
  3. Next comes your schedule! Your Professional Advisor will contact you. Please refer back to the Owl Onboarding for more information.
  4. The final part is taking part in our In-person Undergrad Orientation welcome event which will be held on Saturday, August 24th, 8AM – 2PM. This is a mandatory one-day experience for new incoming undergraduate students where you’ll get to meet fellow new Owls, current student leaders, faculty and staff. We promise it will be a hoot!

Students and their families can expect:

    • Guided Campus tours
    • Meetings w/Schools or College (Deans, Chairs & Coordinators)
    • Scavenger Hunt and other fun activities/games
    • Tabling: w/Consoidated Student Center and outside vendors
    • NEW: Being added this Fall is a Parents Panel

NEW: Being added this Fall is a Parents Panel

Please use the Orientation email: [email protected] as a means of contact.

Note: a WUSO fee will be included on your student account.
