Ryan Tyler Martinez

Ryan Tyler Martinez works and lives in Los Angeles. He is the Assistant Chair of the School of Architecture at Woodbury University in Burbank, California where he teaches graduate and undergraduate studios and seminars. Prior to his current academic appointment, he was a design faculty member at SCI-Arc, a lecturer at UC Berkeley College of Environmental Design, and taught at the BSSA in Mumbai, India.

Before starting a small independent studio, Martinez worked at Gehry Partners, LLP. He is the co-founder of A One-Night Stand for Art & Architecture, an event and publication project for architecture. He is currently the 2018 – 2019 Director of the Wedge Gallery where he curates and organizes lectures, events and exhibitions for Woodbury University.
