Risa Williams

Risa Williams holds a MFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and a MAP in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. Her stage plays have been produced at The Kennedy Center (DC) and The Old Globe Theatre (CA) receiving three national playwriting awards. She is the co-author of the pop culture book, Cinescopes: What Your Favorite Movies Reveal About You (Quirk Books) which was featured on The Early Show (CBS) and in Women’s World Magazine and Parade Magazine. Risa studied ballet at New York City Ballet’s School of American Ballet (NYC), theater and dance at The Urdang Academy for the Arts (London) and has acted off-Broadway in NYC. In addition to writing, performing, and teaching, Risa has also worked in TV production, film development, marketing, advertising, and as a licensed clinical therapist.
