Bailey Shugart is co-founder and principal of All Black Form, an international practice based in Los Angeles. Their expertise is based on the experimental techniques in animation software, scripting, alongside academic research. Bailey is highly skilled in all aspects of design such as 3D Modeling, Rendering, Construction Documents, graphics, and Sales and Marking to name a few. She currently holds a teaching position at Woodbury University in the Interior Architecture and Architecture programs.
In the fall of 2015, Bailey graduate from SCI-Arc, where she received her Master of Architecture Degree. Prior to this, she received her B.S. degree from Arizona State University in 2012 where she studied Interior Design and Architectural Theory. While at SCI-Arc, Bailey became very interested in the cross breeding of digital materiality, sensations and design technologies which led her to finishing her SCI-Arc career with the Thesis Project “skin and Armature”.
Bailey has worked with Various Designers and Architects throughout LA such as BplusU, RGA and Built Inc. She has also collaborated on a 3d printed fashion piece with Lace by Jenny Wu. For the past year Bailey, has been working with various Architecture firms where she has held both project manager and architectural positions. She is interested in examining the relationship between computational design, digital fabrication, and material exploration. Having a deep love for craftsmanship and building techniques, her goal is to combine and apply this knowledge to design across various scales from jewelry, armature and fashion to furniture, interiors and structures.
