September 20, 2016 @ 6:30 pm

Join us for our 2016 Fall Lecture Series. Unfortunately, our next architecture lecture on the San Diego campus had to be postponed. Please check back on our website or sign up for our newsletter to learn about the new date for the Henri Bava lecture.
Architect Henri Bava, founding partner at Agence Ter, will talk about his work.

Henri Bava, landscape architect, studied plant biology at the University of Paris-Orsay, scenography at Ecole Jacques Lecoq in Paris and landscape architecture at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Paysage, (ENSP) Versailles. He worked in Michel Corajoud’s landscape office in 1985, and in 1986, he founded Agence Ter in Paris with his partners Michel Hössler and Olivier Philippe. In 2000, Agence Ter opened a German office in Karlsruhe; in 2014, following the winning of the competition for Barcelona’s “Plaza Glories Catalanes”, a Spanish office was set up. In 2016, Henri Bava led the winning team for the renewal of Pershing Square, and has opened the first American office of Agence Ter, in Downtown Los Angeles.

In parallel with his practice of landscape architecture, he taught for 10 years at ENSP Versailles and, since 1998, he has been the chairman of the Landscape architecture Department at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (K.I.T.) in Germany. More recently, he has been invited several times as a guest professor at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
