The School of Architecture welcomes all students, faculty, and staff to our Climate Justice Roundtable, happening Tuesday, April 6th at 6 pm, where we will present the student awards for the LASD 2030 Competition. The competition invited all Woodbury School of Architecture students to submit a 60- to 90-second video highlighting a project that addresses climate change and environmental justice.
A total of 17 students submitted entries and nine of those seventeen will be awarded a Climate Justice Scholarship. Made possible by a $10,000 grant from HMC Architects Designing Futures Foundation (DFF), the nine awards include:
We are honored to have five distinguished jurors for the competition. They include:
The roundtable will begin with introductory remarks from Eric Carbonnier (BArch’08), VP of Sustainability at HMC Architects, followed by comments from the jury. The student winners will then be announced with each providing a 2-minute reflection on their projects followed by some more remarks from the jury.
It will be an exciting time of celebration and recognition for all students who worked hard on their entries, as well as a time of encouragement for all participants and attendees.
Join us on Zoom at 6 pm on Tuesday, April 6th at 6 pm PST.
