Literature on Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Real Estate Development

The San Diego Library at Woodbury University is an exclusive library focused on architecture, landscape architecture, and real estate development. The 1,300 square foot space houses a growing collection of 6,500 books and 35 magazine and journal subscriptions. One-on-one research assistance is available to students and faculty 40 hours per week.

Offering Innovative, Sustainable, And Traditional Materials

It offers students and faculty a hands-on experience with innovative, sustainable, and traditional materials through 250 material samples and digital access to Materials Connexion; and serves as the digital hub for the San Diego campus by providing access to a Mini Mac Lab, 60” smart TV, Blu-Ray player, Canon EOS DSLR camera, Canon digital camera, Flip UltraHD video cameras, Final Cut Pro film editing software, iPads, and various adaptors.

Digital collections include subscriptions to 40 online article databases and indexes, 25,000 e-books, and 11,000 film, TV, and video titles, all of which are available to students and faculty 24/7. One-on-one research assistance is available to students and faculty 40 hours per week. During additional operating hours, guidance is available via chat with the reference librarians staffed at the Woodbury University Library in Burbank/Los Angeles.

In 2013 the library launched the Library South Series, an offshoot of the San Diego lecture series. The event series has included discussion panels, workshops, and exhibits that inform the community and serve as an interdisciplinary, collaborative ecosystem for the School of Architecture in San Diego.
