Wahlroos-Ritter Elected to AIA/LA Board
Our esteemed Associate Dean, Ingalill Wahlroos-Ritter, has been elected to the Board of AIA/LA this Fall. Newly installed members must provide a platform for their tenure on the board, and Ingalill proposes to:
-Leverage her experience in academia to engage diverse groups and encourage emerging young designers in order to exchange knowledge, strengthen leadership possibilities for architects, and broaden professional opportunities;
-Promote design excellence in service to social engagement, encourage the design of beautiful places to underserved populations, and reach out to communities to find ways for architects to lead the public conversation about healthy cities;
-Use her experience as façade consultant to advocate for innovative solutions to improve building performance through public policy; and
-Seek ways to streamline the professional licensing process.
For those who don’t know, Ingalill Wahlroos-Ritter is an architect, educator, and design consultant specializing in the building envelope and the experimental architectural use of glass.
