Nominations Sought for New EVP/Provost Position
Woodbury University is seeking nominations for the newly created position of Executive Vice President and Provost. The Executive Vice President/Provost is the senior member of the president’s cabinet, the chief academic and operating officer and the #2 institutional leader of the university. He/She will partner with our dynamic new president, Dr. Luís Calingo, in innovating and implementing progressive change. The EVP/Provost will lead from current best practices and establish new ones to provide academic and institutional excellence toward the highest quality educational, moral and civic experience for Woodbury’s top priority, its students.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for short- and long-term development, implementation and monitoring of all academic programs, as well as other areas critical for the day-to-day functioning of the faculty and staff. Required qualities include a record of strategic leadership, a history of building academic excellence, significant budgetary and planning experience, exceptional interpersonal and communicational skills, a sense of humor, a leadership and management style that fosters collaborations, collegiality, and transparency, and a demonstrated commitment to diversity and globalization. The ability to inspire, to establish clear boundaries and to implement new programs is essential.
