Fashion Marketing and Marketing Majors in NYC during Spring Break

Thirteen Woodbury University fashion marketing and marketing students accompanied by Dr. Mine Ucok Hughes, Wendy Bendoni, and Dr. Karen Kaigler-Walker spent a week visiting various companies from a variety of industries in New York City during spring break. The companies included Mercedes Benz, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week,  NBCUniversal, Draftcb, Donna Karan New York, and Teen Vogue. The students watched presentations focusing on marketing strategy and social media in particular. The program also included visiting cultural sites such as the Metropolitan Museum, Fashion Institute of Technology Museum and the Guggenheim Museum.
The students also worked together with the shoe company ALDO on a social media marketing campaign, promoting ALDO’s new bag as they posted Instagram images of themselves carrying the bag around  the city. (Read more from Wendy Bendoni about the trip.)
